Associations Insurance Agency, Inc., AIAI, an Associa Company
Covering our communities against the unexpected
Services
Commercial Property: Insures the association’s interest in described property owned by the association or for which it is responsible. This policy may include buildings, personal property of the association, fences, swimming pools, garages and other pertinent structures, which are described or defined within the policy. Property policies require insurable interest.
Crime / Fidelity: This coverage insures against loss resulting from the dishonest acts of someone entrusted with the finances of the association. It is important the association maintains adequate limits of coverage which will vary based upon the size of the association and the amount of money controlled.
Directors & Officers Liability: This is claims made coverage that protects individual directors and officers from liability claims arising out of alleged errors in judgment, breaches of duty, and wrongful acts related to their organizational activities. It provides protection from the risk of suits that can result from every day business decisions.
Umbrella Liability: Umbrella policies provide “excess” coverage in the event of a liability claim that is large enough to exhaust the limits of your scheduled underlying policies or primary coverage in excess of the self-insured retention.
Commercial General Liability: Protects the association from its legal liability arising out of bodily injury and tangible property damage attributable to the associations operations. Claims subject to this coverage include swimming pool accidents, slip-and-falls, and other injuries or damage caused by alleged wrongful acts or negligence of the association.
Workers’ Compensation: Workers compensation coverage preserves both association and employee interests in the event of an employee injury. Although some associations do not have employees, this coverage is still important as an “independent contractor” can be deemed to be an employee of the association if he does not provide the association with a valid workers compensation insurance certificate.
